Delete your EDM Hype account
EDM Hype is operated by Tony and Puffy LLC. You can delete your account and its content at any time.
In the app
Open your profile, choose Delete account, and enter the six-digit code we email to the address on your account. That is all: the request is queued at once.
Without the app
Email legal@edm-hype.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account", or use the contact form and choose "Legal, privacy or copyright". We confirm it is your account, queue the deletion and reply once it is done. If you no longer have that address, tell us your handle and we will find another way to confirm it is you.
What happens next
A deletion request waits 24 hours before anything is removed, so it can be cancelled if it was a mistake; the confirmation email explains how. After that it cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Your account and profile; your posts and replies in event chats; your private messages, which disappear from both inboxes; the events you saved or marked going; the artists and venues you follow; your reports, submissions and feedback; and your devices and sessions. Your email address and handle are released for reuse.
What we keep
Moderation and security decision records, such as a ban and the device hashes needed to enforce it, and event revision history, which records changes to a listing rather than anything about you. Keeping them does not keep any of your deleted content. See the Terms & Privacy for how long each is kept.
